Laura Green

As a whole, entire human, my work is only a fraction of who I am. But it's probably what brought you here, so let's start there.

I'm a strategist at heart. I want to know where we’re heading, what the vision is, and how we know when we’ve made it. I love to solve the best path towards it - not just the most efficient one, but the also the most authentic.

I've worked on strategic growth in lots of contexts. For-profit companies launching into new markets or scaling in established ones. Nonprofits building and rebuilding from the ground up. Dozens of strategic plans focused on the kind of growth that makes sense for the heart of the organization— not just growth for growth's sake.

As a consultant, I've worked with hundreds of leaders trying to get honest about what their vision really requires: the big bets, the infrastructure, the alignment it takes to actually move.

Now, that work happens through  Unicorn Ranger. My business partner Karl Peterson and I are strategic advisors for leaders who inherited the business but aren’t sure if they want to inherit the playbook. We help them understand what’s worth keeping and what’s just being kept and then we build from that.

Alongside that, I am passionate about play, awe, curiosity, being present, the joy of it all, and wonder as a spiritual discipline. I’m obsessed with natural rhythms, overlapping circles, and native plants. I love charts, naps, nerdy nature books, good beer, and sneakers. I collect side quests and I’m an expert in rabbit trails (the proverbial ones, not actual rabbits).

I’ve been affectionately referred to as a “petty bitch” and was voted “Best Pants” in 2025. I’m willing to do small crimes for a good cause.

I mother 3 wonderfully wild children who are, by far, my greatest gifts to the world.

I garden for subsistence and for wonder and for stewarding our Earth.

Ultimately my life and work are about flourishing - to the greatest degree possible, for as many as possible. Especially when a bit subversive. I believe we can all win.
